Bayezid was born in a government maternity hospital in 2012. Sadly, his parents were devastated because doctors weren’t able to help him. His mother Tripti, 18, said “I was terrified to see him when he was born. He was just flesh and bones. He looked like an alien and it was heartbreaking for me. Doctors had no idea what to do, they said they had never seen such a baby. They warned us that there was nothing they could do.” Despite the kid’s condition, the family of three went home without receiving any support from the local government. A 61-year-old man, Timothy Onyeukwu, who allegedly camped a 10-year-old girl in a hotel for months and having canal knowledge of her at will, has been arrested in Abia State. Onyeukwu was arrested following intelligence policing strategy of the state Police Command. The suspect was paraded alongside a fake Nestle food manufacturer, armed robbery suspects, burglars and cultists, before newsmen on Wednesday. Parading the suspects, the Commissioner of Police, Adeleye Oyebade, said the operatives of the Central Police Station Aba, swung into action and arrested the man. He added that the victim had been taken to hospital for medical attention. “The suspect confessed to have been sleeping with the little girl for months in the hotel,” the CP added, noting that the suspected rapist will be charged to court soon.

The Nigeria police on Wednesday in Abuja announced the arrest of 43-year old Abiodun Amos (aka Senti), described as the leader of a militant gang planning to bomb the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos. A statement by police spokesman Don N. Awunah said the arrest was made on November 2 in a hideout on the bank of Majidun River in Ikorodu area of Lagos State, and that two AK 47 rifles were recovered from his possession. “The principal suspect is an Ijaw man and a Native of Ese Odo LGA of Ondo State,” DCP Awunah said.  “He is an Explosives Expert who specializes in assembling and modifying large scale Improvised Explosives Devices (IED) for terrorist act. The suspect also volunteered confessional statement to the Police and named other members of the militant group that are still at large.” He added that credible evidence had indicated that the gang planned a series of attacks on government infrastructure and facilities in Lagos, as a result of which Inspector General of Police Ibrahim I
